Biography

Ms. Ellis is a master therapist with many years of experience with adults, adolescents and children. She utilizes many different modalities to best meet each client’s needs. With extensive training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral treatment, couples therapy, systemic family therapy, and behavioral intervention; Ms. Ellis has a rich library of resources from which she assesses and cares for each individual.

She has consulted for, and directed a variety of mental health programs, from inpatient adult to adolescent residential treatment. She is the author of therapeutic curriculums, many trainings for health professionals, as well as community workshops, and has published research. She is the author of, and trainer of trainers for, Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) for the State of California.

Ms Ellis is a gifted mentor, academic instructor and supervisor. She has experience teaching students from undergraduate to the doctoral level. In the Portland area, she has trained students from Lewis and Clark, Portland State University, and George Fox University. In San Francisco, she was an instructor at several universities, including University of California at San Francisco.

Additionally, she has developed expertise related to positive behavioral intervention, and provides special education assessment and consultation to families, and school districts in California and Oregon.
